Family Weekend
Family Weekend is a great way to spend quality time with your student! Choose your own adventure and explore the best that South Dakota State University and the Brookings community have to offer.
- Free admission to Family Weekend, registration encouraged and required for the football game ticket discount code.
- The Family Weekend ticket block is now Sold Out. You may find additional tickets at .
- The Family Weekend registration form will go live on July 30, and once registered, you will receive the code to use when buying tickets on the Athletics website beginning at 7 a.m. Central Time on July 31. Please note that while we have a large block of tickets set aside with this discount code, we do anticipate them selling out quickly.
- The student will be able to request up to two complimentary tickets, but will be able to purchase additional tickets for $20 each.
- Check back often for additional updates! Registration and ticket purchases will open at the end of July.

Friday, Sept. 26
- Explore downtown Brookings.
- Take a stroll through McCrory Gardens.
- Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Visit the Miller Wellness Center.
Saturday, Sept. 27
- Explore downtown Brookings.
- Visit downtown for the Brookings Farmers Market running from 9 a.m.-noon.
- Take a stroll through McCrory Gardens.
- Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Visit the Miller Wellness Center.
- Stop by the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum.
- Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Stop by the Agricultural Heritage Museum to see our exhibits or stop by our collection storage building north of the museum and take a behind the scenes tour of part of our large artifact collection. Both the museum and collection storage tour are free and open to the public.
- Check out the South Dakota Art Museum and its unique exhibits and gift shop.
- Hour are 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Shop ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Central for the largest selection of SDSU apparel.
- Pick up some SDSU ice cream and enjoy yard games at the Family Weekend Tailgate.
- The tailgate will begin at 11 a.m. on the south lawn of the Miller Wellness Center and will go until 1 p.m.
- Enjoy The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band.
- Watch the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍøs football team take the field.
Sunday, Sept. 28
- Take a stroll through McCrory Gardens.
- Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Attend the Party on the Porch from 1-3 p.m.
- Free admission to the gardens, live music, beverage options, bring your own chair or blanket.
- Visit the Miller Wellness Center.
- Visit the South Dakota Agriculture Museum.
- Hours are 1-5 p.m.
- Check out the South Dakota Art Museum and its unique exhibits and gift shop.
- Hours are noon-4 p.m.
