The Child and Family Resource Network at South Dakota State University is hosting its next “Common-Sense Parenting” class series starting Sept. 4.

Innovative technology for range management will be the focus of the upcoming Cottonwood Field Station Field Day. All are invited to hear about the latest South Dakota State University research on the topic on Friday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m.-noon at 23738 Fairview Road, Philip.

The South Dakota Art Museum is celebrating the people and collections that made the museum possible with a summerlong exhibit and a reception planned for early August.

There will be something for everyone at the South Dakota State University Southeast Research Farm Field Day, Tuesday, July 8, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at 29974 University Road, Beresford. Attendees will be able to choose from multiple farm tours, hear relevant research presentations, and the day will end with a Family Evening put on by SDSU Extension.

For the second consecutive year, South Dakota State University finished just short of winning the International Quarter-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition. The SDSU Quarter-Scale Tractor Team, competing as the ����vlog���� Tractor Company, finished in a tie with Kansas State for second place. North Carolina State defended its 2024 title, finishing 26 points ahead of its Midwest competitors scoring 2,316 points out of a possible 2,405. The 28th annual event was May 30-June 1 at the Expo Gardens Fairgrounds in Peoria, Illinois, with 23 teams competing from across the United States and Canada.
