Case CC tractor
This photograph shows a young man, Charles Lewis, sitting on his father’s new tractor. Lewis is just 10 years old in this photo and is on top his dad’s 1936 CC Case tractor, which his dad bought new for $1,050. This tractor brought so much attention at the time that the local school dismissed early so that all the kids could come and admire such a wondrous machine.
The Case C series of tractors from 1929 to 1939. The CC was a row crop tractor with a tricycle front. It had a four-cylinder engine, had three forward gears and one reverse. It tested at 22.7 hp on the drawbar and 28.97 on the belt.
