Grade a Turkey
Two men work together to measure and grade a turkey.
The Extension service provides many opportunities for education. One such opportunity is featured in this week’s Throwback Thursday. Two men demonstrate how to grade a turkey. One holds the bird, while the other shows how to measure the leg. Taken in April 1941, the grade of the turkey depended on many measurements, including breast width and weight.
Hopefully, this turkey “made the grade.”
