A New Brain is a semi-autobiographical musical by William Finn (music/lyrics) and James Lapine (book) about composer Gordon Schwinn, who faces a life-threatening brain condition while writing a song for a children’s TV show featuring a frog, Mr. Bungee. The show, from the creators of Falsettos, is a quirky, funny, and poignant look at mortality, love, and the healing power of art, following Gordon’s hospital ordeal and his re-evaluation of his life and relationships. This production contains mature language and themes.
